Pre-Paging

Definition : The technique where the operating system will predict what pages will be used and loading it into memory before it is needed.

Virtual memory is composed of two parts real memory and external page storage. Programs are divided into pages and pages that are in use are stored in real memory. Pre-paging is where the operating system tries to predict which page will be needed and loads it into memory before it is needed.
